Ingredients For Jalapeño Poppers

To get started, you’ll need a few simple ingredients. You’ll need fresh jalapeño peppers, dairy-free cream cheese, cooked ham (you can also substitute bacon), sliced green onions, onion powder, and garlic powder.

If you don’t have an air fryer yet, now is the time to invest in one. These little machines make cooking a breeze and are perfect for making crispy appetizers, like these jalapeño poppers.

How To Make Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Once you’ve gathered your ingredients, it’s time to prep the jalapeños. Cut off the top of each pepper and remove the seeds and membranes. Don’t forget to wear gloves to protect your hands from the spicy oils!

In a small mixing bowl, combine the dairy-free cream cheese, cooked ham, green onions and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.

Stuff each jalapeño with the cream cheese mixture, making sure to fill them completely.

Place the stuffed peppers in the air fryer basket and spray with avocado oil. Cook the jalapeño poppers for 5 minutes at 390 degrees. After 5 minutes respray the poppers with olive oil and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Once the poppers are done cooking, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. These poppers are great on their own, but you can also serve them with your favorite dipping sauce. I love Danielle Walker’s homemade dairy free ranch.

Are Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers Healthy?

Not only are these air fryer dairy-free jalapeño poppers delicious, but they’re also a healthier alternative to traditional fried appetizers. The air fryer helps to crisp up the jalapeño without the need for lots of added oil, making these poppers a guilt-free snack.

Are Jalapeno Poppers Spicy?

No seeds, no spice! Removing the seeds from jalapeños takes away the heat. The spiciness comes from those little guys. So, without them, these might have a little kick but won’t set your taste buds on fire.

Vegan Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Are these poppers vegan? If you use the ham they are not vegan, however, if you remove the ham from the recipe (it will still be just as delicious) and those would be vegan.
