Dairy Free and Egg Free Ranch Dressing

One of the foods I missed the most after being diagnosed with food allergies…. ranch dressing. I used to put ranch on EVERYTHING. Salads, sandwiches, veggies, pizza you name it. So many of the store-bought alternatives (and even my early homemade attempts) were a huge flop. BUT after lots of experimenting I finally found a delicious dairy free and egg free ranch dressing, that even my husband (who can eat anything he wants) approved of!

This dairy Free and egg Free ranch dressing nails the creamy texture and tangy flavor I’ve been craving. It’s simple to make, allergy-friendly, and perfect for drizzling over salads, dunking with veggies or spreading on a sandwich. If you’ve been missing ranch, you have to try this!

How To Make Dairy Free Ranch

The secret to the perfect dairy-free and egg free ranch? CocoJune’s coconut yogurt and canned coconut milk. The yogurt brings that classic creamy tang while the coconut milk thins it into the pourable dreamy dressing texture you know and love from ranch.

I have tried using lots of different canned coconut and found that the one sold at Aldi (Goya brand) tends to work best. Runner up is Thai Kitchen. Just be sure that the coconut milk is runny and not clumpy at all or it will completely change the texture of the ranch.

I’ve experimented with so many different non-dairy yogurts and milks but this combo is hands down my favorite. And don’t worry…despite all the coconut, it doesn’t actually taste like coconut. My husband (who eats regular ranch and isn’t a fan of coconut anything) was shocked when I told him what was in it. His verdict? “It honestly tastes just like ranch.”

For the ranch seasoning this is the seasoning mix (you can use code Normallifemom for 10% your order) I swear by and recommend for this recipe. You can also use it as a seasoning on roasted potatoes, chicken etc. But I swear you’ll run out of it so fast making this dairy free and egg free dressing!

Notes

I recomend these very specific products for this recipe. While you can add other milks (almond, dairy etc,) or different brands of yougurt it will change the taste and texture.

That’s it! You’ll have a bowl of creamy, herby ranch ready to go.

I keep this in the fridge for about 4–5 days (if it lasts that long). It’s so good drizzled over a big salad, served as a dip with fresh cut veggies or spread onto a gluten-free wrap. Allergy friendly ranch dreams do come true. Let me know if you try it!

Honorable mention ranch recipe:: Danielle Walker has an amazing ranch dip in her cookbook Healthy in a Hurry It is also so good that I would recommend buying the cookbook just fo that recipe! It has tons of fresh herbs and uses mayo (although you could use an egg free substitute).
